Attach Mode

This command can be activated by right-clicking on the Attach button at any time.

ATTACH MODE is a way of making CC3’s commands automatically lock to significant parts of entities.

ATTACH MODE displays a dialog that allows you to set the active modifier. The active modifier works with the ATTACH function and is only active when the Attach button $image\fcw5122.gif$ is on. Currently, CC3 allows you to select one of six modifiers:

· Nearest Endpoint [EPT];

· Center [CEN];

· Midpoint [MID];

· Nearest On [ON].

· Nearest Fraction (Type in a factional denominator and CC3 will lock to a fraction along a selected entity.) For example, type 5 and CC3 will lock to the nearest 20% along an entiy.

· Nearest End or Midpoint (CC3 will lock to the end or midpoint of an entity, which ever is closest)
