These commands break a gap of a fixed width in a straight edged entity such as a wall made with the Wall button. It also breaks a similar gap in curved entities, although this is not as accurate. The gap appears from the first selected point in a selected direction. The gap can then be left as it is, or you can insert symbols or other entities in the gaps.
To break a gap of user width in a wall, select Dungeon > Wallbreaks, End > User width
1 The prompt says "Width of break[3]:" Type a width, select two points the correct distance apart or press the right button to accept the default value (3 the first time, the last selected value thereafter)
2 The prompt reads "Select entity:". Select an entity. Make sure that there is enough space on either side of the selection point to fit the gap in.
3 The prompt reads "Select direction:" and you can see a rubber-band cursor. Select a point on the entity in the direction you want the break the gap. A gap is broken from the first point you selected in the direction you selected.
3 The prompt reads "Select entity:" again. Press the right button to complete the command or select another wall section on the same or a different wall. If the wall you select is at the same angle, the break will be made in the same direction as the previous break, otherwise you will be asked for a new direction.
Note: This is the only way to break gaps in metric values on metric templates.
