Right click to add a Perpendicular Line to your drawing.
The PERPENDICULAR LINE command draws a line from an entity to a point perpendicular to the entity. It can be used to add ridges to a curve.
To draw a perpendicular line, select Draw > Lines > Perpendicular:
The prompt reads "Entity:". Select the entity you want the line to be perpendicular to.
The prompt reads "Perpendicular point:". Select a point you wish to be the end of the line, then continue selecting points that describe other lines drawn perpendicular to the first reference entity, if desired. Right-click to end the command.
Perpendicular line tips
To create ridges of varying widths, draw two smooth paths (or Beziers)as in the diagram above. Right click the ATTACH button to choose "Nearest Point ON". Select Line Perpendicular. Select the smooth path, and select perpendicular points on the other smooth path.
