Overview
CC3+ runs on any modern PC with Microsoft Windows 10, 8 (and 8.1), Windows 7, Vista, XP or 2000.
Maps that only use vector symbols will work very fast, even on old PCs. If you make use of CC3+'s new effects and bitmap artwork, these take more processing power and will benefit from increased memory and fast processors, including fast graphics cards. That said, we have not found any other PC software that can handle large bitmap images more quickly than CC3+.
CC3+ can run in very little memory but will make use of any memory up to 4 GB. Adding more RAM will free up system resources to be used by CC3+. If you have an older PC with little memory, the most effective addition is more RAM.
Minimum Requirements
- 750 MB hard disk space
- 256B system memory (RAM)
- Microsoft Windows XP or better
- An internet connection for installation (see note).
Our Recommendations
For fast performance, even with effects enabled all the time, try these:
- 750 MB hard disk space
- 4GB system memory. Configure CC3+ to use this.
- Windows 7 or better
- A fast graphics card with decent on-board memory.

Internet Connection
If you have an internet connection on your PC, the CC3+ installation checks your serial number is valid. It does not transmit any personal information. If you do not have an internet connection on the PC on which you wish to install CC3+, you can fill out a web form instead. This will give you a code to unlock the software on a non-internet connected machine.
