House Settings: Roof Colors

Roof colors are controlled from the House Settings dialog box.

Buildings created with the House dialog box have a wide variety of color options, selected from the Roof Color and Line Color group boxes. As well as controlling the solid filled areas, you can also control the outlines. Change any colors by clicking on a colored area on the dialog box, selecting a color from the color dialog box, then choosing OK.

1 Choose a dark color.

2 If you are using a three-color scheme, choose a middle color, which should be one or two shades lighter.

3 Choose a light color. This should be one or two shades lighter than the middle color.

4 Choose a color for flat roofs. This color only appears if you select a Flat Roof house type when inserting.

5 If you deselect the Use 3 color scheme, CD2 will only use the Dark and Light colors when you add houses/

6 Choose an outline color. This is usually black, but doesn’t have to be.

7 Choose a color for your roof hatching.
