Select Show fill style symbols if you want to see all the symbol definitions included in symbol fill styles.
Select Display Symbols to see a visual display of the symbol definitions. Otherwise, you will see a list of symbol names.
Some options work on a selection of symbols, others only on individual symbols.
You can select a symbol in the list with the mouse and left button. Hold down SHIFT and click two symbols to select a range of symbol. Click CTRL and click a symbol to add it or remove it from the selection. Some options work on mutl
To save the selected symbols as a catalog, click Save as Catalog.
Create a new symbol defintion with New.
Type a name for new symbol.
Click two points to form a drawing window.
Add CC3 entities.
Close the window and save.
Select the symbol you wish to rename in the symbol list
Click Rename
Type a unique new name.
Click two points to form a drawing window.
Use CC3’s drawing and editing commands to change the symbol.
Close the window.
Clone an existing symbol. Creates a copy of an existing symbol definition with a new name. Usually, this copy is then editied.
Delete an existing symbol definition, or selection of symbol definitions. It will remove all the symbol references from the drawing, too, so be careful.
Scale an existing symbol definition, or selection of symbol definitions. This affects all existing symbol references, and any you add in the future. (Use Scale Symbols In Map to scale existing references without changeing the definition.)
List the entities in a symbol definition. Click to save the list as a text file or print it.
Options lets you edit the smart symbol settings for the current selection. If you select Options, and more than one symbol, then options which are different between different symbols will be greyed out. Click the Set button next to any option and change options which you want to set for the entire selection.
Move Up and Move Down the order in which symbol defintions are displayed in the catalog window.
Replace all references to one symbol definition with another. It does not affect symbol definitions.
Purge all unused symbol defintions from the drawing.
Import symbol definitions from another file. Click the Files of Type list to choose drawing type from which to import symbols, usually another drawing (FCW) or catalog (FSC)
Import PNGs imports bitmaps and png files and converts them into symbols.
Convert a selection of existing CC3 files into symbol definitions in the current drawing.
