Permenant entity snaps If you want a modifier to act all the time (always select an endpoint without you having to select the ENDPOINT button) you can use Attach mode
Modifiers (or Entity Snaps) are a way of ensuring that your drawings are precise. You can connect your entities to significant points on entities.
Modifiers are used in mid-command whenever CC3’s command prompt requests a point.
How to use a modifier:
Click a button (such as LINE or COPY) that prompts for a point.
Click a modifier to lock the first point to an existing entity. CC3 asks what entity the modifier refers to.
Pick a point on the entity within the cursor's pick box. If CC3 does not find an appropriate entity after using the left button once, you must re-select the modifier again, then continue with the command. Press the right button to cancel the modifier.
An example:
Click Line , the prompt reads "1st point:".
Click Endpoint .
Click a point on the line, near, but not on the end.
CC3 locks the first point to the endpoint of the entity. If you cancel a modifier by right clicking, you can continue with the command or select another modifier.
